Costume Designer
JENNIFER HAUSDORFER is a native of Lafayette, Indiana where she received her ballet training from Sandra Peticolas at the Lafayette Ballet School. In high school she was awarded a regional gold key at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and went on to receive a silver key at the national level. While attending Herron School of Art and Design she was part of several group and solo exhibitions as well as being selected to be part of the Photographic Angles exhibition, 200 Faces, which toured through England. She was one of several artists commissioned to illustrate for the poetry books of Girard Tournesol and was the winner of the German Embassy’s 2011 Do-Deutsch photography competition. After graduating with a BA in photography and a minor in Art History she moved out to the DMV area where she continued teaching, dancing, and creating. She has taught at the Kirov Academy and is a current faculty member at the Metropolitan Ballet Theater. She has performed with MOVEIUS Contemporary Ballet, Katie Vaught, and currently dances with the Metropolitan Ballet Ensemble. She has created costumes for MOVEIUS Contemporary Ballet, Maryland School of Dance, the Metropolitan Ballet School, and is the costume designer for the Metropolitan Ballet Ensemble.
