RACHAEL BADE, a Dayton, Ohio-native, trained under Barbara Pontecorvo for a decade, performing lead roles for the Gem City Ballet in George Balanchine’s “Concerto Barocco,” “Serenade,” “Who Cares?” and “Valse-Fantaisie.” She spent three summers training with Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, one summer with American Ballet Theatre in New York and Ballet Austin in the Lone Star State, and also studied under National Ballet of Cuba’s Laura Alonzo and Ballet Chicago’s Dan Duell. In DC Rachael has performed Dissonance Dance Theatre, MOVEIUS Contemporary Ballet, and Ballet ADI as well as participating in smaller dance projects organized by the District’s Ballet Teatro Internacional.
