SARA HERRERA hails from Fort Worth, Texas, holds a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of the Arts and is a full-time performer, choreographer and teacher. Currently, you can catch Sara as a cast member in What's Going On-The Marvin Gaye Project, an UpRooted Dance company member, in Pointless Theatre's Rite of Spring, Imagination Stage's Early Childhood Show, Paper Dreams, and preparing for her one woman show at the Capital Fringe Festival this July 2018. Sara is the artistic director of ArasDance, a project based company, the founder of Petworth Dance, a free outdoor summer dance concert, co-founder of Petworth Arts Collaborative, an umbrella program producing performance and visual art events, and an active member of the Lower Georgia Avenue Main Street Neighborhood Strategy Council. Outside of the performance stage, you can find Sara driving her daughter crazy with non-stop questions on how her day was, training for another triathlon with her husband and loving on her two doggies, Rocky and Apollo.
